In short: Razor Shark is Push Gaming's 2019 deep-sea slot, a 20-line game built around Mystery Stacks that nudge down the reels and reveal matching symbols, instant prizes or scatters. Golden sharks unlock instant multipliers of up to 2,500x, and the free games add a win multiplier that keeps rising. It is a high-volatility game whose best moments come in bursts.
A 20-line game with one moving idea
Push announced Razor Shark on 3 September 2019 as part of its Push Originals range. It plays on a 5x4 grid with 20 paylines, under the sea with a pack of sharks led by Razor, a great white. Strip away the theme and the base game is a plain 20-line slot with one idea running through it: mystery symbols that arrive in stacks, move down the grid and turn into something else.
Mystery Stacks and the Razor Reveal
Mystery Stacks arrive in groups of four symbols and can land anywhere on the reels. Hidden behind seaweed, they nudge into place and then reveal all at once.
Golden Shark symbols lift the feature above a plain reveal. When they appear, they trigger the Razor Reveal: the mystery symbols become mini-reels that award instant bet multipliers between 1x and 2,500x, or scatters. That range has a long tail, and Push does not publish how often anything near the top lands. Scatters from a reveal matter too, since three or more lead to the free games.
Free games and the rising multiplier
Three scatters start the free games. If more than three land, the round is enhanced: the mystery stacks nudge upward and more free spins are awarded. In the free games, reels two and four fill with mystery symbols that nudge down one position on every spin, and a multiplier applies to every win. Push describes it as an increasing multiplier on line wins, but does not publish the spin counts, the starting value or how much it rises.
That lack of detail is the main gap in the published rules. The demo is the only free way to see how long a typical round runs and how far the multiplier climbs.
RTP and volatility
Push offers two RTP settings, 96.70% and 94.06%, and rates the volatility high. The gap is 2.64 percentage points: over a very long run, about $3.30 kept per $100 wagered at the higher setting against about $5.94 at the lower one. Push itself notes that RTP can vary by casino, so the figure in the game's info screen is the one that applies; here is why the same slot can have different RTP.
Push does not publish a maximum win for the original, and the 2,500x figure is the top of the instant-prize range, not a ceiling for the game. The high rating fits the design: a few large reveals and multiplied free games matter far more than the steady line wins in between.
The Razor family
Razor Returns (July 2023) adds Torpedo scatters, collector and converter symbols, bonus buys and a highest observed win of 100,000x. Razor Ways switches to expanding reels with up to 46,656 ways, and Razor Shark Jackpots adds five fixed jackpot tiers from 10x to 5,000x. None of those features is part of the original.
How it plays
The original has four moving parts, Mystery Stacks, the Razor Reveal, scatters and the free games, and no feature buy or jackpot. Players who want a published free-spins schedule or a menu of bonus modes will find it opaque; those who like a single mechanic that can suddenly pay big will find it holds attention well. In the free demo, watch how a stack resolves after each nudge and whether the multiplier in the free games keeps pace with the moving stacks.
