Privacy Policy

If you email the publication or use the contact form, we receive the information you voluntarily supply: your email address, an optional name, the message, and any web address you add. The contact form sends the message by email and does not store it on the site; the form also uses the same spam checks the player forms will use (a hidden field, a minimum fill time and a limit per connection, which uses a one-way hash of the IP address). Use the form or the inbox for corrections, source updates, editorial feedback, accessibility issues, and partnership or media questions. Do not send government identification, passwords, or payment-card data.

Apart from the contact form (and, once they open, the player review and complaint forms described in the next section), the public site has no form and no newsletter subscription. We do not ask visitors to create an account to read reviews.

The hosting and security environment may process technical logs. Those logs can include an IP address, the requested URL, the time, a user-agent string, and similar connection data used to deliver the page and to detect abuse. That is not a marketing profile, and it is not a claim that no data is processed at all.

These forms are not open yet; this section applies once they are.

If you submit a player review or a complaint, we collect what you type into the form and a few technical details:

• Published with your review or complaint (after a moderator approves it): your display name, the text, your ratings and the facts you choose to give (for example how long a withdrawal took or which documents were requested).
• Private: your email address. We use it to confirm the submission, to tell you when it is published or why it was not, and for messages about your complaint. It is never published, sold or used for marketing, and we never send casino offers.
• Complaints only: the operator's complaint number, your username at the casino and any evidence files. With your consent, these go to the operator so it can look into the complaint. They are never published.
• Verified player screenshots: seen only by an OCL moderator and deleted as soon as they have been checked.
• Abuse prevention: a one-way keyed code derived from your IP address (not the address itself), used to spot repeated or fake submissions and deleted after 90 days.

How long we keep it. Submissions that are never confirmed are deleted after 7 days. Complaint evidence is deleted 90 days after the complaint is closed. Email addresses are deleted 24 months after a review is published or a complaint is closed. Published text stays on the site until you ask us to remove it; we may keep an anonymised copy of a complaint file's outcome in our statistics.

Your choices. Email info@ontariocasinoslist.com from the address you used to see what we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted or anonymised. The forms set no cookies. Moderation rules will be published with the forms.

Cloudflare provides delivery, security and privacy-oriented traffic measurement. Google Search Console may be used to understand how Google indexes the site.

Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels, remarketing tags, newsletters are not currently used. We do not intentionally sell personal information.

Essential security cookies may be created when they are needed to deliver or protect the site, including cookies that a security or delivery provider may set. Ordinary reading of the editorial pages does not require a login cookie. We do not currently set an analytics cookie of our own.

Your browser may also store files it needs to display a page, such as cached style sheets. That is ordinary browser caching. If a later feature needs a non-essential cookie, this policy will be updated.

Email is processed to consider the request you sent. Technical logs and security signals are processed to operate the site, investigate incidents, and keep the service available. Cloudflare measurement, where used, is processed to understand traffic and protect the site. We do not use visitor information to run advertising audiences or to build a remarketing list.

If you write about an accessibility problem, we may keep the report long enough to fix the page. If you write about a factual error, we may keep the correspondence long enough to complete the check described on the Corrections Policy page.

Hosting, security and email systems may be provided by companies that process data in Canada or in other countries. Cross-border processing can occur when those providers operate that way.

Information is kept only as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose that collected it, including security and a record of a correction request, and then deleted or made unusable in the ordinary course of running the site.

Free-game demos on slot pages are provided by SlotsLaunch (slotslaunch.com). A demo player loads only after you press the play button. When it loads, your browser connects directly to SlotsLaunch and, through it, to the game studio, so those companies receive your IP address and browser details and may set their own cookies or similar storage under their own policies. Do not press play if you do not want that connection. Demos use play money only; no wager is taken and no payment details are requested.

We take reasonable steps to protect information we hold. No website can promise that a transmission is free of all risk. External sites we link to, including casino operators and ConnexOntario, have their own practices.

You may email info@ontariocasinoslist.com to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you sent us, where that request applies. We may need to confirm that the request comes from the same address or otherwise relates to the information we hold. We do not handle operator-account data because we do not hold those accounts.

The site is intended for adults. Gambling content is 19+. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to the address above so it can be removed where we hold it.

This policy may change when the site’s processing changes. The updated page is the current version. The visible updated date on the page, where shown, is the date to use. Questions about this policy go to info@ontariocasinoslist.com.

Search engines and browsers may keep their own copies of pages for a time. That caching is outside this publication’s systems. Clearing your own browser storage removes cookies your browser stored for this host; it does not delete an email you already sent.
