Hacksaw Gaming was established in 2018 and is based in Malta. It calls itself a premium supplier of slots, scratchcards and instant-win games, runs its own remote gaming server, and says it has more than 250 games across 35 regulated markets. In June 2025 the parent, Hacksaw AB, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.

The studio's own site lists its licences, including Malta Gaming Authority, UK Gambling Commission, Ontario's AGCO, and regulators in Sweden, Denmark, Greece, Romania and the Isle of Man. For Ontario, Hacksaw announced on May 25, 2022 that the AGCO had registered it on May 24, with registration valid to May 2028. It described that as its first North American approval, and it named Chaos Crew, Joker Bombs and Wanted Dead or a Wild among its first titles.

Duels, gift boxes and Soul Orbs

Hacksaw's slots tend to combine a small number of paylines or a compact grid with stacked feature rounds. Wanted Dead or a Wild (2021) is the studio's Western: a 5x5 grid with 15 paylines, VS symbols that expand into DuelReels with multipliers, and three separate bonus games, with a listed maximum of 12,500x.

Hand of Anubis (2022) is a cascading cluster slot on a 5x6 grid where red and blue Soul Orbs act as wilds and build multipliers, leading into two bonus rounds called Underworld and Judgment. Dork Unit (2022) is a character-driven slot on a 5x4 grid with 16 paylines, where gift box wilds carry multipliers in three grades and a sticky respin round, Gift Bonanza, sits beside a free spins feature.

Reading the RTP and volatility

Hacksaw lists Wanted Dead or a Wild and Hand of Anubis as high volatility and Dork Unit as medium. Listed RTPs are 96.38% for Wanted, 96.24% for Hand of Anubis and 96.24% for Dork Unit, but the studio's page for Wanted lists four RTP settings, so the headline is only one of several versions an operator may run. Maximum wins are listed at 10,000x for both Hand of Anubis and Dork Unit, and 12,500x for Wanted. Those are ceilings, not typical outcomes. In practice, high-volatility Hacksaw games tend to return small amounts on most rounds and save the larger payouts for the bonus games, so a long run with no feature is ordinary. All three list a feature buy, which may not be offered in every jurisdiction or operator version.
