Hard Rock Bet Launches Online Casino and Sportsbook in Ontario

Hard Rock Bet went live in Ontario on 22 July 2026 with an online casino and sportsbook, Hard Rock Digital’s first market outside the United States.

Hard Rock Bet Launches Online Casino and Sportsbook in Ontario

Hard Rock Digital launched Hard Rock Bet in Ontario on 22 July 2026, offering online casino games and sports betting through iOS and Android apps and on desktop at HardRockBet.ca. The Florida-based company, which runs Hard Rock International’s online gaming and sports betting business, said Ontario is its first market outside the United States. “Expanding into Ontario with Hard Rock Bet marks the first time we’ve brought our platform to an audience outside the U.S.,” Marlon Goldstein, executive managing director and chief executive of Hard Rock Digital, said in the launch announcement.

Registered in May, live in July

The Ontario business is run by Hard Rock Digital (Canada) Limited, which is listed in iGaming Ontario’s operator directory for both casino and sports betting. Its AGCO registration took effect on 14 May 2026, about two months before launch, according to Canadian Gaming Business, and the Ontario site displays registration number OPIG1523285 alongside a statement that it operates under an agreement with iGaming Ontario.

Hard Rock Digital said the casino opened with more than 3,000 games, including slots, table games and live dealer content; that is the company’s launch-day figure, and catalogues change over time. The platform is built on Playtech technology, Canadian Gaming Business reported, and Playtech holds a minority stake in Hard Rock Digital. The Ontario site lists Interac e-Transfer, direct bank transfers and PayPal among the ways to deposit and cash out.

An existing Ontario footprint

Hard Rock is not new to the province. It already operates Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa, and Canadian Gaming Business reported that Hard Rock Digital has had a Toronto office for years and employs about 200 people in Ontario. At launch, Canadian Gaming Business counted it as one of only three commercial operators in the online market, with Caesars and Mohegan, that also run a land-based casino in the province.

In the United States, Hard Rock Bet offers online casino in New Jersey and Michigan and sports betting in a further group of states, including Florida, where it is the only legal online sportsbook under the Seminole Tribe’s compact with the state. Ontario is the third market where it offers both products. The launch also filled a gap: Hard Rock Bet had been one of the few large U.S. online gambling brands not yet in Ontario, where FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Caesars, bet365, BetRivers and Bally’s were already active.

What it means for players in Ontario

Hard Rock Bet’s Ontario site and apps are a separate product from the U.S. version. Players must be 19 or older and physically in Ontario, and U.S. game titles, rewards features or payment options should not be assumed to be available in the province. The brand’s status can be confirmed on iGaming Ontario’s list of regulated sites or with the Ontario casino checker, and the guide to checking whether a casino is regulated explains how to tell a regulated site from a look-alike.

The Ontario casino page lists deposit limits and self-exclusion among its responsible gambling tools. Province-wide self-exclusion is available through BetGuard, which covers every site in the regulated market, and ConnexOntario offers free, confidential support at 1-866-531-2600. Anyone with a problem the operator does not resolve can escalate it through the route described in Ontario casino complaints.
