This guide explains how money moves in and out of a regulated Ontario casino account. It does not recommend a payment method or rank casinos.
Two directions, two answers
A casino that accepts a deposit by a given method may not pay out by that method. iGaming Ontario’s player FAQ says operators allow deposits by online bank transfer, debit card or credit card, and that each operator accepts its own mix. Withdrawals are narrower, and operators publish them separately.
The reason is mechanical. Many deposit rails can pull money from you but cannot push it back. Prepaid vouchers and some phone-wallet buttons are pay-in only. Cards return money only through a separate push-to-card service that the issuing bank has to support, and some operators say a particular card brand is not available for withdrawals. Check the cashier’s withdrawal list before you pick a deposit method.
The common methods and how they differ
- Interac e-Transfer and online banking
- The most common pairing in Ontario. Deposits usually arrive within minutes. Withdrawals are often quoted in minutes to hours once the operator has released them, though one operator’s Interac help page says payouts can take up to five working days depending on the bank.
- Debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
- Deposits are instant. Withdrawals go back to the same card as a credit and can post as pending right away but take one to several business days to settle, depending on the issuer. Not every operator pays out to every card brand. Issuers set their own rules for gambling transactions, so check your cardholder agreement before relying on a credit card.
- E-wallets (PayPal, Skrill and similar)
- Often the fastest to receive after approval, since the money moves between wallet accounts. Operators typically require the same wallet account for deposit and payout, and may set different minimums by direction.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay
- These are a convenient front end to a card you already hold. Operators describe them mainly as deposit tools. Where a payout is offered, it generally goes to the card behind the wallet rather than to the phone.
- Bank transfer and EFT
- Reliable for larger sums but slower, with delivery quoted in business days. BET99’s help centre says that after its own processing a bank transfer can take three to five business days.
- Prepaid vouchers
- Useful for capping a deposit. They are deposit-only, so a second method is needed for withdrawals.
The pending period and the delivery window
A payout has two clocks. The first is the operator’s own pending or review period, when the request is checked and approved. Lucky Casino’s help centre says it processes withdrawals within 12 hours, and BET99 says requests get internal security checks and are typically processed within up to 24 hours. Funds are usually held back from play meanwhile. The second clock is the delivery window of the method: seconds for some Interac payouts, one to three business days for cards, longer for bank transfers.
Check which clock a published time describes: “instant” may mean only that the operator releases the request instantly. Quoted ranges are what the operator publishes, not a promise, and delivery can stretch over weekends, statutory holidays and peak periods because banks and processors run on business days.
Verification can come first
AGCO’s Registrar’s Standards say players may withdraw only after the appropriate verifications and authorization, and that a withdrawal must go to an account the player legally holds (standards 5.70 and 5.71). The first payout is therefore the most likely to be held while identity, address and payment-method ownership are checked. Our account verification guide covers what is asked and how to send it safely. Uploading documents early removes the most common cause of delay.
The same-method return rule
Operators generally pay out to the method that funded the account, and some will not offer a withdrawal option until you have deposited with it. BET99 says a method becomes available for withdrawals after a successful deposit with it, and Betty says its Visa withdrawals require an earlier deposit on that card. Operators give two reasons: money should not pass through the account to a third party, and a payout should reach the person who funded it. That is also why an account in someone else’s name will be refused, and why changing methods can trigger an extra review.
Limits, minimums and fees
Minimums, per-transaction maximums and period caps are set by the operator and often differ by method and by direction: a deposit minimum is commonly lower than a withdrawal minimum, and each method carries its own ceiling. Some operators cap withdrawals per month and split large requests into instalments; Lucky Casino publishes a monthly cap with an exception for networked progressive jackpots. Fees also vary. Some operators absorb all fees and some charge a flat amount on certain methods; Lucky Casino says a fee may apply if you withdraw before meeting its wagering policy. Your own bank can add charges the casino never sees. iGaming Ontario notes that every financial institution has its own rules for iGaming transactions and tells players to ask their bank. Our bonus guide explains how wagering rules hold up a payout.
Credit and bank blocks
Operators cannot lend you money. The Registrar’s Standards say operators must not extend credit, refer players to credit providers or imply that a player should seek more credit to play (standard 5.74). Banks and card issuers can still decline gambling payments or flag them for review. A decline is the bank’s decision, not the casino’s. Call your bank, or fund the account by another method.
When a withdrawal is late
- Compare the cashier status with the published pending period and delivery window, counting business days.
- Look for an open document request in your account and email, including spam.
- Contact support with the amount, date, method and transaction ID, and ask which stage the request is at: review, verification, release or bank delivery.
- If it is still unresolved, ask how to submit a formal complaint and keep the reference number.
- If the operator’s process does not resolve it, escalate to iGaming Ontario. It asks for the site name, your player ID and the complaint number, and it cannot settle bets, refund wagers or award compensation. The AGCO says operators have up to 90 days to respond and that it cannot get your money back.

How to read Not confirmed
Not confirmed means the answer has not been established. It never means No, and an empty minimum or fee field means no published figure, not that there is none.
Which page answers which question
This guide is the explainer. The pages below list casinos, each answering one question:
- Deposit methods: which methods casinos confirm for funding an account, and the minimum deposit where one is published.
- Withdrawal methods: which methods casinos confirm for cashing out, and published minimums.
- Fast payout casinos: the withdrawal timing each casino publishes, side by side.
- All payment methods compared: each method by type, and what casinos confirm for it in both directions.

Frequently asked questions
Why can a method work for deposits but not for withdrawals?
Support is set by the casino and the payment provider for each direction. Prepaid vouchers are built for paying in only, wallet buttons such as Apple Pay and Google Pay are mainly deposit tools, and some card brands cannot receive payouts. The listing shows the two directions separately.
Why must I withdraw to the same method I deposited with?
Operators use the rule to keep money from passing to third parties and to confirm that a payout reaches the person who funded the account. AGCO standard 5.70 also requires withdrawals to go to an account the player legally holds. Some operators only unlock a withdrawal method after a deposit with it.
What is the pending period on a withdrawal?
It is the operator's own review time before it releases the payment, which operators publish in hours or business days. The bank or wallet then takes its own time to deliver the money. Published times are not promises for an individual payout.
Do withdrawals take longer on weekends and holidays?
Often they can. Banks, card issuers and processors work on business days, so delivery windows are usually counted in business days even when the operator's review is quick. Read whether the published time is in hours or business days.
Are there fees or limits on withdrawing?
Both are set by the operator and differ by method. Many operators publish a minimum withdrawal, a per-transaction maximum and sometimes a monthly cap. Some charge nothing, others charge a flat fee on certain methods. Your bank may add its own charges.
Why was my first withdrawal held?
The Registrar's Standards allow withdrawals only after appropriate verifications and authorization, so identity, address and payment-method checks often come before a first payout. Uploading documents early usually shortens the wait.
What can I do if a withdrawal is delayed past the published time?
Contact support with the amount, date and transaction ID, ask which stage the request is at, then make a formal complaint and keep the reference number. After the operator's process, you can escalate to iGaming Ontario, which does not settle bets or award compensation.
Is Not confirmed the same as unavailable?
No. It means we have not established the answer yet.
